Leicestershire Brass Band Association Paul Hewins Memorial trophy
The band's bass players caught the judges' ears at the North East Midlands Brass Band Association contest, hosted by Rolls Royce in Derby on Sunday 20 February and won the trophy for best bass section. Bass players on the day were Patrick Marklew, Julian Hackett, Colin Clulow and Simon Collison. The test piece was the 2011 4th section area test piece; Prelude, Song and Dance by John Golland.
